Run Medic is an runner, athletic consultant and nutrition enthusiast who knows a thing or two (or more) about how the body works.  Despite a lack of professional training in the field of medicine, Run Medic has managed to make himself a reliable source on the topic of sports medicine.  Due to his extreme paranoia, he tends not to reveal his real name on the Internet.

Run Medic's education in nutrition is largely based on personal-experience, research and anecdotal advice.  He tends to favor effective herbal remedies to pharmaceutical products, but realizes that herbs are not 100% effective for all people.

Run Medic likes to run at least one and as many as three races per week.  Although he is willing to race distances as far as a marathon, he prefers the 800m, 1600m, 3200m and 5k (mostly the last two).  For training, Run Medic will run 30-50 miles per week, depending on his distance goals and race schedule.  He also understands the importance of cross-training, engaging himself in basketball, cycling, swimming and weight lifting.

Run Medic is also a semi-professional classical pianist and aspiring composer, lyricist and poet.
